Feminism, equality between male and female.
It’s been a long fight, it’s becoming an old tale.
Men are strong, women are fragile,
Give them power for a little while.
But we all have rights.
So why the constant insults and fights?
Young women raped and murdered,
We listen and watch but we aren’t bothered.
We show no interest in their suffering;
Can’t even see the marks and bruises they’re covering;
Spoils of war in times of old,
Sold as slaves, beaten and left in the cold,
They can be broken but they bounce back.
They’re strong. They’ve survived the attack.
They’ve risen. They’re finally awake.
Feminists and feminism none can break.
Now we all know what’s at stake.
Accepting gender equality, a better world we‘ll make.
