An Ode to Mother Nature

Mother Nature,

Her ways misunderstood by men

As old as time yet, perfect and beautiful

Her children look up to her in awe

Her gifts, she gives to all

Loving and caring she may be

But pain and anger also, she feels

The flowers bloom in her happiness

The earth dries up in her sadness

Calm are the seas when she's at peace

When troubled, through the rain she speaks.

Mother Nature,

Through the sun and the moon,

Her beauty you'd see

If I could picture her,

How magnificent she'd be

Her eyes, blue like the deepest oceans

The trees and flowers, her Royal apparel

Tall as the mountains, yes, she'd be

Stars so bright adorn her hair

Her crown, the clouds, would be

Gold, diamonds and perfect crystals,

Her necklace, they would form

Oh Mother Nature,

I am enthralled by your beauty

I could forever gaze and get lost in your wonders

I hear your voice in the wind

The birds sing the sweet melodies you teach

The heat in the summer,

The freshness of spring

The cold and the snow,

The chills winter brings

And all for a time, each with a mission

So perfect, your flaws, your plans

Everyday, Oh Mother, Your praise I would sing.
