Willingness is the key for any man to learn how to be a good boyfriend. Unfortunately not all men are willing to study and do what it takes to be a good boyfriend. There are no hard and fast rules on how to be a good boyfriend. And learning how to be a good boyfriend is not easy. The enthusiasm to learn must be present.

Here are some tips for being the best boyfriend you can be.

STEPS:

BE HONEST

“Honesty is the best policy.” No matter what happens, no one can ever challenge the fact that you are truthful, which might mean that the other person also gives you the same respect.

Girls do not like guys who constantly lie to impress them. Tell the truth and you’ll never have to worry about getting caught in a lie.

Be true to her, and if an ex is brought up, tell her you don’t want anything to do with your ex, and that she’s the only girl for you.

Make up silly jokes with her. Be totally honest.

GIVE HER SURPRISE GIFTS

Bring her some of her favorite flowers. Respect the fact that she won’t carry them around all day. If you find out she is sick, do everything in your power and go check on her. Take her anything she wants or needs. Girls love it when their man takes care of them when they are helpless and sick.

Let her pig out. If she’s hungry, buy her food.

MAKE PHYSICAL CONTACT

Girls have much thinner skin than guys, so even a light touch is appreciated. If your girl is a romantic, upon seeing her for the first time in a couple of days, say, “I missed you so much…” and weave your arms around her hips then give her a loving hug.

Hug her in public.

If you are laying out under the stars MAKE SURE YOU HOLD HER HAND!!!!! And if she says something like, “Im cold,” make sure u scoot closer to her.

Kiss her on the forehead and on top of her head, especially when she is feeling down, and always say a simple ‘I love you’. It will make her happy.

COMPLIMENT HER SINCERELY

Tell her she looks beautiful when she’s clearly made an effort. Tell her she’s beautiful when she clearly hasn’t.

Find something particular and compliment them on it, but mean it. Don’t just say, “You look nice”. Say “That really makes your eyes flash”, “Your hair cut really suits the shape of your face” or “That makes me want to kiss your neck” …and then kiss their neck! The more specific you are, the more unique and appreciative the compliment.

Compliment her often so that she knows that you’re still interested in her.

MIX THINGS UP

Creating memories together. Surprise them by doing something offbeat–think less maudlin and more personal. This includes anything from racing them to your walking destination, dancing without music, or even bringing them a tub of LEGO and encouraging their immediate use. You two should grow to be comfortable with each other, and do things together without self-consciousness.

COMMUNICATE

Do not talk their ear off, however make sure that if you have any problems that will affect your mood, they are made aware of the reasons for your problems and mood, so that you do not appear to merely be a fickle and cranky creature.

Tease her a little just to have fun, just know when to STOP!

Ask her how her day was. They will feel important in your life, and it will usually make their day.
